Kids On Tap is a Youth Tap Company directed by Kathleen Cirioli, and based in Hillsborough, NJ. The mission of the director and the company is to promote and preserve the art of tap dancing by studying and performing in both the current and historical styles of Tap. The Company’s repertoire includes many pieces of choreography of the tap masters. Company Members study regularly with Kathleen Cirioli and have studied with various Master Teachers and Guest Artists.
"Kids On Tap” have performed in many venues, in the NY/NJ area, including N.Y.’s Swing ’46, Beat Street, Symphony Space, and the Duke Theatre in NYC, Tap City 2001 through 2005. Kids On Tap danced in the Pre-Professional Program of the NYC Tap Festival in 2005, and performed at the prestigious Joyce Theatre. They have performed in Traditions in Tap Showcases in NYC. In addition to performing and producing An Evening of Tap Dance, Mirror of the Masters I and II, they have appeared at the Brook Arts Gala, Vaudeville 2002, T.A.P. National Tap Dance Day, “A Tribute to Gregory Hines” in Washington DC, “Memories”, a Tribute to Pascalle Stahel, in Switzerland, and the Chicago Human Rhythm Project YTEC Concerts.“Kids on Tap” have performed in Ayodele Casel and Sarah Savelli’s “Tappy Holidays” 2006-2009, and in the 1st Annual NJ Tap Festival Main Stage Showcase, “Tap N Time”. "Kids On Tap" have also performed in the "Annual Generations of Dance" in 2010 and 2011.
